Opening Update

Hello fellow questers!

We are going to start providing some regular updates here to let you know what we’ve been working on and keep you updated on our progress towards opening. We have been sending these out via our weekly newsletter, but wanted to post information here so it’s readily available.

Now, for opening progress… Frankly, we were hoping to be open already but ultimately the space itself needed a lot more work than we originally planned. We are opening in a very cool older building on East Sherman, but it was built in the 1940s and in some ways feels like it hasn’t been updated since then.

In the last ~5 months we’ve made a ton of good progress and have redone the walls, painted the ceilings, pulled up the nasty old flooring, put new floors down, and built out some very cool custom booths & tables in the back room. We’ve partially fixed up one bathroom and we’ve had to totally rebuild the refrigeration unit for the ever so important kegs, so we can serve nice frosty beers. At this point we need to finish the refrigeration, finished cleaning up one of the two bathrooms and fully rebuild the second bathroom to make it ADA accessible. Then the bar top itself needs to be finished, as well as building out the back bar. The bathroom project, plus the fact that we just found out we need to redo our electrical panel, is what’s keeping us from being able to pinpoint an opening date. Those projects are out of our control as we are hiring out for them and we don’t have a completion time frame yet.

At this point, we believe it will be sometime in the next few months, but are unable to pin down a more specific date. We will be posting here regularly to provide updates towards that goal. We can’t wait to serve you some great local beverages while you hang out and enjoy some games with friends, but until then, stay nerdy!
